At Excalibur Data
Recovery, our experienced technical staff is versed in RAID data recovery.
Our recovery equipment allows us to service even the most current
of large array systems created today.
In order for us
to attempt a successful data recovery on any RAID array, all drives
from the original failed array MUST be supplied. The controller card
is not necessary but highly recommended. We also ask that before the
drives are pulled from the container and drive bays that they be NUMBERED.
Losing track of the drive configuration can complicate the data
recovery effort and extend turnaround time of the evaluation!
To help protect
the data on the failed RAID array, an image or clone of each drive
is created and copied to a new device. These Bit-By-Bit images are
then "de-RAIDED" to our server creating a Virtual Array.
After the Virtual Array has been produced, the assigned technicians
will then begin the evaluation process. Just like all other data recoveries,
when the evaluation is completed a final report/data recovery quote
is sent to the client for approval. Only after the authorization has
been given, will the data be recovered and extracted to new media.
