Tape Data Recovery
In the past, tape backup or data archiving had been a very popular method of choice when backing up or restoring large quantities of data (such as databases) to and from servers and RAID arrays. While it is not as popular as it once was, some companies still rely on this method for aging systems that have not yet been converted or deactivated to a more modern method. Very few companies today support tape recovery. Don’t worry. Excalibur continues to support this media backing up a wide variety of operating systems/platforms. Unix (tar and cpio) remain our specialty. So, if you no longer have the ability to read your tape, have BOT/EOT error, sessions were incomplete, data rewritten/overwritten or reformatted, physically damaged or actually snapped, give us a call.
